My letter:

Dear Santa,

This year, I only have one item on my wishlist: a custom-made game, just for me!

I'm Wouter, and I live with my GF and our cuddly cat in the northern part of the Netherlands. I work as a manager and programmer for a small company that sells monitoring and data integrity software to other businesses.

🎸 My interests and hobbies outside of games are... I enjoy tinkering with personal projects and joining game jams, mostly using JS and C++. Also, I'm a metalhead (e.g., BFMV, Nightwish, etc). I love to visit flea markets, looking at old stuff while talking with the owners.

🎮 My favourite video games and genres are...

• Wolfenstein 3D ('92): I love the art-style and simplicity. Just shoot anything that moves in a maze-like environment.
• NFSMW ('05): The police chases are amazing, and the cars handle very naturally.
• Highway Pursuit: It's so addictive, I can play for hours trying to get a high score.
• Baba Is You: I love the clever puzzle aspect of this game. If you don't know it, please look it up. It's great

👩‍💻 Platform limitations and accessibility concerns for me are... Some game that looks or feels like Wolfenstein 3D would be awesome! A direct clone wouldn’t be fun to make, so I’d say: give it a big twist 🙂 If 3D isn’t what you want to gift, then maybe you could recreate that same feeling in some other form.

In the end I would say: make something that you enjoy making 🙂 5 points of interest though:

• I don't have a fancy computer, so demanding games are difficult for me to run
• Pressing more than 3 buttons at the same time is difficult for me to understand ^^".
• Try to make it a bit Christmassy, that would be fun 🙂
• I don't mind if you add a story, but talking NPCs isn't really my cup of tea.
• A browser game would be ideal.
